  • Client: Nippon Seiki, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of HUD for the automotive industry. 
  • Challenges: Nippon Seiki required a reliable and flexible software solution to enhance their HUD technology, particularly for integration into a broader range of car segments, including premium and non-premium markets. 

3. Goals and Objectives

  • To develop a flexible bootloader (DAB) capable of meeting the high industry and OEM standards.
  • To support Nippon Seiki in integrating HUD technology rapidly and safely into new car models. 

4. Solution Provided

  • Diadrom Systems AB developed the Diadrom Autotech Bootloader (DAB), a software specifically tailored for Autotech applications. 
  • The DAB was designed to be flexible and adaptable, catering to the evolving needs of HUD technology in the automotive sector. 

5. Implementation

  • The project included a development project and licensing of the DAB product to Nippon Seiki. 

  • Further development to extend DAB support to GMSL2 chipset from Maxim Integrated Products Inc. 

6. Results and Impact

  • The collaboration marked the first commercial breakthrough for Diadrom’s product within the Autotech sector. 
  • The additional order to extend DAB support indicates the product’s adaptability and potential for future technology platforms in vehicles.
